Hands-On Lab: Securing AI Workloads with Palo Alto Networks Prisma AIRS

Overview As enterprise AI adoption accelerates, so do the unique security risks targeting large language models (LLMs) and AI applications. In this intensive, 90-minute hands-on lab hosted via Google Qwiklabs, you will get into the driver’s seat with Palo Alto Networks Prisma AIRS (AI Runtime Security). Learn how to discover AI assets, enforce zero-trust access, and defend against emerging AI-specific threats in real time.

Lab Logistics

  • Duration: 90 Minutes

  • Environment: Google Qwiklabs (Fully provisioned cloud environment—no local setup required)

  • Format: Guided, hands-on technical exercises

What You Will Do In this interactive session, you will actively configure and deploy AI security policies. Key exercises include:

  • AI Asset Discovery: Scan and identify deployed AI applications, models, and datasets within a cloud environment.

  • Defending Against AI Threats: Configure an AI Security Profile to detect and block live prompt injection attacks, malicious outputs, and resource overloads.

  • Preventing Data Leakage: Set up guardrails to monitor AI interactions and prevent the exfiltration of sensitive data (PII) through application outputs.

  • Real-Time Monitoring: Navigate the Prisma AIRS dashboard to investigate threat logs, view AI application data flows, and track API violations.

Who Should Attend Cloud security engineers, AI developers, DevSecOps practitioners, and security architects looking for practical experience in securing generative AI deployments and machine learning pipelines.
